Green Tripartite Agreement
Advice on implementing the Green Tripartite Agreement for municipalities and local tripartite groups across Denmark

Land consolidation
Land consolidation is, as the name suggests, about redistributing land between landowners. Yet the term says nothing about the most important part of the process: people, and respect for one another’s wishes.

Peatland restoration
CO2 emissions from agriculture are reduced when the wettest land is taken out of cultivation and restored as natural areas. Could LE34’s chartered land surveyors also guide your climate project safely through to completion?

Groundwater parks
Groundwater parks are envisioned as large, connected areas providing permanent protection for groundwater resources. Once the necessary legislation is in place, LE34 will be ready to advise utility companies, municipalities, waterworks and foundations and to negotiate the necessary agreements with landowners.

Multifunctional land use
Multifunctional land consolidation is an effective tool for addressing some of today’s most pressing societal challenges: climate adaptation through peatland restoration, the development of more renewable energy facilities and space for additional recreational areas.

Successful land conversion requires an experienced adviser
At LE34, you receive independent advice backed by almost 200 years of experience in what lies at the heart of the agreement: reshaping the landscape and changing who owns what.
Multidisciplinary advice and a holistic approach
We take a holistic approach to every assignment, rooted in our multidisciplinary LE34 Environment, Planning & Law team of more than 60 specialists.
Our consultants and chartered land surveyors have diverse professional backgrounds – including planners, lawyers, landowner negotiators, expropriation specialists, architects and environmental assessment specialists. We also have experience of municipal planning and development projects, renewable energy facilities, land consolidation and peatland restoration projects.
The Water’s Ways
LE34 works both in the short term, developing solutions that can be implemented here and now, and in the long term, creating visions for the landscapes of the future.
That is why we took part in The Water’s Ways competition organised by the Danish Association of Architects. To help land conversion keep pace with the pressures of climate change, we developed a vision for new forms of ownership, including nature credits and shared ownership of natural areas.

68% of our fleet is electric
The first delivery of LE34’s electric vehicles took to the roads in 2021. Before then, we had invested in charging infrastructure at our four largest offices. Today, 77% of our offices in Denmark have charging points.
Our electric vehicles emit 0 g CO2/km when powered by renewable electricity – as they naturally are at our charging points. This meant that by 2023, in just three years, we had reduced our annual CO2 emissions by 203 tonnes.
We are continuing to phase out fossil-fuelled vehicles as we work towards our goal of an all-electric fleet.
100% renewable energy
With more electric vehicles in daily use, more virtual meetings and greater use of digital communications and servers, switching to renewable electricity has been an important initiative. On the 1st of January 2023, we switched to electricity supplied by NRGi. This means that 100% of the electricity we purchase directly comes from renewable sources, accounting for 90% of our total electricity consumption.
We have agreements with our landlords to switch to renewable electricity at sites where we do not purchase the power ourselves. As a result, since summer 2023, 100% of the electricity used in our operations has come from renewable sources.
Sustainability reporting since 2.023
EU sustainability reporting requirements are evolving, and both the timetable and scope have changed since the original legislation was introduced. At LE34, however, we have chosen to view sustainability reporting as an opportunity to take responsibility now.
That is why, in 2022, we began a structured transition across environmental, social and governance matters, enabling us to start reporting as early as 2023.
