We want to contribute to a better environment, be an attractive workplace and a responsible company. With concrete and measurable initiatives, we work every day to change our profession, company and common future for the better.

FACTS

In 2022 we intensified our work with ESG and in 2023 we established a dedicated ESG organisation. In March 2024, we published our first ESG report for 2023.

How we work

Which ESG areas should we work with? We involved our employees and stakeholders, partners and managers, to set the right direction together. The result was to organise the work into four tracks:

A better environment
A service for the environment
An attractive workplace
A responsible company

A better environment

In 2024, we finalised our first carbon accounting. This means we can work data-driven towards a carbon-neutral future. A permanent working group is engaged in prioritising and realising initiatives within carbon reduction, consumption/purchasing and waste reduction.

Our ambitions for 2030 are to:

Minimise our CO2 emissions.

Ensure climate and resource-conscious consumption of goods.

Minimise waste and ensure recycling of our own waste.

A service for the environment

Our ambition for 2030 is clear. We want to be at the forefront of how we utilise our land resources in the best possible way for the environment.

At LE34, we work every day on projects related to the green transition. Whether it’s land for urban development, wind and solar farms, climate low-lying areas or rail and road infrastructure projects, environmental considerations are a recurring theme that we must address.

Political initiatives such as ‘Den Grønne Trepart’ set the overall framework, but we contribute to the concrete solutions and agreements in the field. A task that commits us and where we can make a difference.

Our strategic focus, ambitions and day-to-day work with ‘A service for the environment’ are anchored in our Environment, Planning & Law business area – a unique interdisciplinary team of environmental consultants, planners, surveyors, landscape managers and lawyers.

Through close cross-departmental collaboration and dedicated working groups with a special focus on climate change, we sharpen our focus on the challenges facing society. We are committed to improving our efforts and ensuring that we deliver the best possible solutions. By strengthening interdisciplinarity and knowledge sharing, we create a solid foundation for the green transition of the future.

Kenneth Norre, CEO of LE34

“We need to learn how we can better use our professionalism to benefit the environment and climate, and where our behaviour as a company and workplace calls for change.”

Rikke Kjeldsmark Møller, ESG Manager at LE34

“In 2022, we started an ESG process to learn more about ourselves. Where we are and where we are going. Where we are doing well and where there is room for change.”

An attractive workplace

In 2024, we were certified in ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management. An acknowledgement that we have an occupational health and safety management system that enables the organisation to create a safe and healthy working environment. The certification goes hand in hand with our other efforts to ensure that LE34 is an attractive workplace. A workplace where there is room and equal conditions for everyone, which is attractive to current and future employees.

Our ambitions for 2030:

Equality and diversity among employees and at all management levels.

A workplace where we look after each other’s well-being and well-being through a safe and secure work environment.

Good training and career opportunities – personal, professional and managerial.

A responsible company

Our ambition is to work in a structured and transparent way with integrity, fairness and credibility. And we will require our suppliers and business partners to do the same. That’s why we have implemented policies for Code of Conduct, anti-corruption, IT and data security and of course a whistleblower programme.

Our ambitions for 2030:

Our suppliers must live up to UN standards on human rights, labour, environmental requirements and anti-corruption.

To be an independent and transparent company that treats people with dignity and respect. Neither we nor our business partners tolerate corruption in any form.

To be a trustworthy business partner that manages data in accordance with our data ethics policy and prioritises high IT security for all our customers and partners.

To take social responsibility by offering a place in the labour market through projects, internships, apprenticeships and job clarification programmes.
